Math Assignment

For my 4th period math class:
When I grow up I want to be a Nascar Sprint Cup Series driver. I would need math for that because I'd need to know how many gallons to either take or leave. I would take out fuel or put in fuel. I'd also need math for changing tires. I'd take the two I need most. It would help me subtract or add time.

Made a Sweet Ride

One of the reasons I love going to Myrtle Beach is that Ster and I go to Ridemakerz to make a car. I did lots of chores for mommy and added that to other money I made and made this sweet ride.

Me Against The Waves

Postcards

Here are the postcards I bought while in Mars and before we went to the UFO. Mom and Dad didn't get them until after I had already gotten home.

Sunday, July 21, 2013

I have 75$ and today we're going to be at the beach for a week. So I am going to either spend it on Ridemakerz or something else. So we both don't know what to spend our money on but we need food and fuel to get him so I don't know for sure.

Brushing Kimber

Today we went to see Bridget's brother again. I spend a little time brushing Barry's dog Kimber. It makes me miss Commander.

I Went To Mars and Had a Popsicle

Bridget took me to Mars, Pennsylvania to see the UFO. Here I am standing in front of the UFO. Before this picture was taken we went to the store to get some postcards. I bought 3 postcards, one for Mommy, one for Ster and one for Sam.

Later on we hung out with Michael who is Bridget's parent's nurse's son. We were trying to keep cool by eating popsicles.

Traxxas (fixing the motor)

Fixed the motor and also got a new transmission on it.
Top speed then: about 32+mph
Top speed now: about 35+mph

Both of these top speeds are on a full conditioned battery and with a lot of wheel spin on the first (more acceleration)than the newly repaired Traxxas (less acceleration because a faster speed)

Unfortunately a Traxxas can't get both customs on it so I chose the high end upgrade. (Means faster speed less acceleration)

We did make one mistake at first but we eventually figured out what was wrong with the transmission. It was Slipping! So the tightened up something and he said he knew what it really was. So we did save 30$ and now it's even better than HO-B-MAX could ever do! I ran yesterday and used all 4 batteries on it and the day before that I only ran two of them. So I pretty much did a good break in on the new Traxxas 12T 550 motor. The acceleration is OK for what I really do with it. That is really only go on my neighborhood main street.

So I keep telling Ster that I really want the Orange Boss 302 for either Christmas or for something else. I want the one that goes 45+mph! We took it to the beach and we haven't driven it yet but charged the battery. We will also drive my Ridemakerz around too but we'll have to charge the battery up though.

Notes from My Classmates

This was a really cool idea. We had to write something about each person in our class. These were the ones written about me. I guess I'm funny and fun to be around.

Birthday Surprise

Yes, this was definitely a good surprise. The day before my actual birthday, I told Ster that he had a message. It was Uncle Jacob saying do you need an address. Ster said no. The day after my birthday we went to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. We all got to do fun stuff there. But most of all, my favorite was the NASCAR simulator. The first time I sucked at it. The second time I got the second fastest time on the board, meaning it was the second best time anyone did so far. Ster got mad and he sat in Pit Road the whole time. I hit Uncle Jacob on turns 1, 2 and 4. Even though I kept starting out on Pit Road because I wrecked so many times, everybody thought that it was weird that a kid could make the second fastest time. We had a really great time and it was a really great birthday surprise.

I Got Injured

So, yeah. In P.E. this morning we were running and I ran into the white board. Something sticking out scraped me and ripped my shirt. I didn't even realize it at first until it really started hurting. So I went into the office for some ice and she called Ster instead.

I got home and had to get in the shower to wash off the blood. Mom decided to take me to the doctor. The nurse put something like superglue on me. And I got a tetanus shot.

Mom took me to McDonald's for a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. Then we went to school so I could get my book bag and homework.

Then I stayed home with Commander.

Forsyth County students set Zumbatomic world record
UPDATED 3:45 PM EST Feb 26, 2013

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A group of exercising Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school students now owns a Guinness World Record.

More than 1,100 fourth- and fifth-grade students set a record Feb. 1 as the largest Zumbatomic class in a single venue. Zumbatomic is a version of Zumba meant for children under 15.

The students completed a 30-minute class featuring two certified instructors and dozens of helpers. Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines also participated in the class.

The record was part of a month-long challenge to get students at 19 schools to move at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week, as well as perform one nutritional practice each day this month.

The previous record was a class of 383 children in a Texas class last year.

A Snowman Story

When it snows in winter, me and my brother go out to play. When we do go out, we make snowmen. Once we did, I came the next day. My snowman wasn't there! When I saw a trail, I followed it. So when I did, there were snowmen ahead of me! So the trail ended. I saw 15 snowmen with more coming! So I picked my snowman out, and signaled for him to come over my way. So he did. Then we talked about why he was here. He said "Well your best friends snowman came to tell me, and so after that I went with him." "So then we went down the biggest hill he and your best friends snowman could find." So it was a race to me. Who ever got to me first, would win. When they started my snowman got behind. Then he came back. But got a little off course. So in my mind, I thought "he knows where to go!" Well, I was right because he pulled back into 1st place. Finally they got to the end. It was a race to me. At the last second he pulled in front then back, then in front again. He had won! So both snowmen had a good talk with each other. So I get into the conversation too. We had a good talk until 11:00 then we went to the sled grounds and sleded some more! Finally we went to my house and sleded even more! I went to bed then. My snowman didn't.

My Class Did This

Forsyth County students attempt to dance into record book with Zumba

Posted: Friday, February 1, 2013 7:53 pm | Updated: 12:39 am, Sat Feb 2, 2013.
Arika Herron/Winston-Salem Journal

Nearly 1,200 area students attempted Friday to shake, shimmy and shuffle their way into the Guinness Book of World Records. Fourth- and fifth-grade students from six Winston-Salem/Forsyth County elementary schools took part in what was billed as the world’s largest Zumbatomic class – an aerobic program for children under the age of 15 – at the Benton Convention Center Friday morning to kick off the Go Red and Get moving initiative. Go Red and Get Moving is designed to get children active and healthy and raise awareness of heart disease during the month of February. Event coordinator Cheryl Lindsay said the event had three goals: break the world record for largest Zumbatomic class, start the Go Red and Get Moving campaign and teach kids about making healthy choices. It’s a lesson Lindsay said she hopes the students will adopt now and continue a lifetime.
“It’s something that contagious,” Lindsay said. “So it’s important to get people started early.” Mayor Allen Joines joined the 1,121 students and their teachers for the 30-minute dance workout. As dance music blared, students followed choreographed routines performed by instructors on stage. “It was really fun,” said Cecilia Beck, 9, a fourth-grader at Kernersville Elementary. “I’ve never done this before, so it was a new experience for me. I loved it.” She wasn’t alone. At the end of the 30-minute session, students showed their enthusiasm with hugs, cheers and high fives. Many kept dancing to the music and rushed to the center of the floor for the finale balloon drop.
“Keep moving,” encouraged Forsyth County District Judge Denise Hartsfield. Keeping the kids moving for the rest of the month will be the focus now. The six schools that participated Friday - Cash, Diggs-Latham, Kernersville, Lewisville, Sherwood Forest and Meadowlark elementary schools – are just a few of the 20 schools that will participate in the Go Red and Get Moving campaign for the next month. Students who participate commit to exercise 30 minutes a day, five days a week and adopt one new healthy habit for the month of February. Students have been encouraged to set goals such as drinking more water, getting more sleep and eating more fruits and vegetables. “I’m going to play and exercise and eat healthy food,” said Jaemarius Harper, 9, a fourth-grader at Kernersville Elementary. Lexi Lovelace, 9, a fourth-grader at Lewisville Elementary, had a different idea. “I’m going to drink tons of water,” she said, raising a half-empty water bottle. Those are all good ideas that school administrators hope last longer than just the next 28 days. Go Red and Get Moving is a way to keep health top of mind for students even after the challenge is over. Nancy Sutton, health and physical education specialist for the school system, said lifestyles today make it harder for students to be healthy. It’s never been more important to instill the importance of making healthy choices, she said. “We’ve got a lot of things to fight,” Sutton said. “The younger you’re practicing healthy habits, the more likely those will carry into adulthood.” The official designation of the world record attempted Friday should be announced in the next few weeks. The previous record for the largest Zumbatomic class was 383 participants, set in April 2012.

Musings of a (Bored) Boy

I am goofing off........ well here's my story Just eating at Nacho Daddy's . I'm finished with the cheese Roll over. It is very good but sits as it is a lead ballon In my gut. We got a huge boat in our driveway that looks like a tower against the 4 runner. It is pulled by a huge 2500 Dodge truck. But looks like we are going to talk about different things right now , MAYBE!!!! So we are talking about different things and counting! Standing outside by myself all alone. Well were in the car going to Target to get things maybe. Well my hope didn't come true so now I'm not so happy right now because we had to put back everything in our cart. And one was my Hot wheels and also my Legos I'm mad right now or not that happy so that is bogus stuff right there in Target. But at least we're on our way to our house to see my dog Commander. Maybe he's eating his bone! Well he was eating the bone. So today me and the daddy are hanging out downstairs watching TV and its commercials, darn! Well we're headed to theater alliance to work box office. Well my friend Chad is her because my mom is at work and so is daddy so that is why he is here right now. And we are going to the golf tournament today. Well the golf tournament wasn't in store for today so well we didn't do the tournament. But one good thing is I get to see my sister tomorrow so that's good. We're in he car right now and hopefully we make it to New Jersey and we think we're going to make it and well to tell you the truth I think we will.but.....um..........oh yeah we are in the car in Virginia so were half way to New Jersey. But jeez I mean it's a long darn way to our destination. It was a good trip to New Jersey because we got to see Sam. So now were on our way to Charlotte for a wedding. Of course I have to be a Jr. Groomsmen. I'm not happy because I look so stupid in the tux that I'm in.

Update: This was written by me on my Kindle during the course of 2012.
